Design Thinking Course Book
LaunchCode is a nonprofit that trains individuals for tech jobs and helps connect them with employers in need of their technical and life skills, with a focus on those traditionally shut out of the opportunities these jobs bring.
This Design Thinking for Business book was created for students of the corresponding Training Course at LaunchCode. Working with business skill trainers, I drew upon deep design thinking knowledge to make this course book approachable, immersive, and interactive. This also kicked off an expansion of the brand's vector artwork to include more custom vector illustrations of people.

This new course dove deep into a topic not many LaunchCode students were familiar with. Design Thinking is normally the domain of designers and service and product developers.
To make all this new information easy to digest and less abstract, we created simple, friendly design style that complimented the existing LaunchCode aesthetic and assets. In combination, Design Thinking for Business was more appealing and easier to understand, with the book receiving rave reviews from both teachers and students as a highly valued addition to the program.
